Job description
Responsibilities

One of the main responsibilities of the ward manager is to support the flow of patients. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain safe staffing levels, deliver effective care and review incidents/complaints/audits. Establish, develop, maintain, monitor and facilitate the delivery of services at ward/departmental level, ensuring services provided meet organisational objectives, divisional service strategies and quality accounts.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, self‑motivated and have a minimum of 3 years' band 6 ward experience. They need to support and develop staff as well as maintaining their own clinical and leadership skills. He/she will be committed to the role and create an environment where patients are shown care and compassion reflecting the values of our Trust.

Role

You will be required to lead and collaborate within a multi‑disciplinary team to ensure patient reach their rehabilitation potential. This is often challenging but equally a rewarding role in supporting patients with multiple co‑morbidities and complex needs.
