Ward Host / Domestic Assistant

Role Details

Hours: 27.5 per week

Shift: 07:00 – 15:30 (or as arranged) with a pattern of 4 off

Responsibilities

• Ward Host Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Ward patient dining team to deliver high-quality service tailored to patients' needs and preferences.
  • Coordinate meal and beverage services in line with the Ward Timing Schedule.
  • Monitor dining activities to ensure smooth operations and patient satisfaction.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting meals that reflect the standards of our organisation.
  • Liaise with kitchen staff and other departments for timely and accurate meal delivery.
• Domestic Responsibilities
  • Keep clinical and non-clinical areas spotless through mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and wiping down surfaces.
  • Conduct scheduled deep cleans in isolation rooms and high-risk areas, adhering to infection prevention protocols.
  • Utilise approved cleaning chemicals and equipment safely, applying barrier cleaning techniques and zoning principles.
  • Ensure high-touch surfaces are cleaned regularly and thoroughly, using colour-coded materials to prevent cross-contamination.
