A leading NHS foundation trust in the UK is hiring a Receptionist and Ward Clerk. The role involves providing comprehensive reception support, managing patient admissions, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, be IT literate, and preferably have NHS records experience. This position offers a salary ranging from £24,937 to £26,598, with opportunities to work in a supportive healthcare environment.
To provide comprehensive reception support & ward clerk duties to a busy Neurological Day Ward & RANA/Emergency Clinics. You would provide a welcoming, reassuring and professional reception service to patients, visitors and staff. As part of your role you would provide essential administrative & reception support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of daily activities. You'd work closely with nursing and medical staff with day-to‑day administrative needs. Manage appointment and procedure bookings using the trust scheduling systems. Co ordinate patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
Within these duties you would be expected to prepare, and locate case notes for ward admissions and be responsible for filing inpatient notes and correspondence. Handle telephone and email enquiries promptly & courteously and maintain accurate patient information & support clinical documentation. You will be required to utilise the PAS system to input data of all admissions, transfers and discharges.
