A prominent NHS hospital is looking for a Ward Clerk to support the nursing team in delivering safe patient care. Responsibilities include managing patient admissions, transfers, and discharges while maintaining organized paperwork. The ideal candidate will have basic math and English skills, experience in the NHS, and ability to work under pressure. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ward 16 is a respiratory ward. We have a large team of doctors, nurses, and a therapy team, and we also work closely with other multidisciplinary teams. We are friendly, approachable and supportive and looking for a ward clerk to add to out team.

The role of the ward clerk is to support the nursing team in the delivery of safe effective care to the patient to be achieved by performing administrative tasks in a diligent, professional way in order to assist with the smooth running of the service.
Be able to admit, transfer, discharge patients using the electronic patient record.
