An infrastructure management company in Scotland is seeking an Installation Operative to join their Vehicle Restraint System squad. The role involves repairs and installations of road safety systems, with flexibility for occasional work trips and involvement in winter maintenance. Candidates must hold a minimum LGV Class 2 Licence and have experience in road maintenance operations. We are looking for enthusiastic Individuals to join our ever expanding Vehicle Restraint System squad carrying out repairs to damaged systems and installing new upgraded VRS Systems. Excellent rates of pay available for the right candidates depending on experience. As this is an ever expanding team all levels of experience shall be considered and full training available also.
Flexibility is required as working away from home on occasion will be part of the role, as will involvement in the Winter Maintenance Rota.
The North West Trunk Road Unit spans some 1,422km of trunk road through some of the most scenic parts of the country. It also includes 1,501 bridges and structures, including the Kessock Bridge which carries the A9 north of Inverness and the A87 Skye Crossing.
The North West Unit covers a huge area of Scotland, from Thurso and Wick in the very north of the Highlands down to Campbeltown in Argyll and Bute, from Uig on Skye to Perth and Stirling in the central belt.
The Installation Operative, reporting into the Electrical Manager, should be an experienced roadworker with the necessary skills to carry out various road maintenance operations, training can be provided if necessary. Ideally you should have, as a minimum, an LGV Class 2 Licence (HGV2), NHSS 12D, Excavator below 10T, Lorry Loader and slinger signaller.
This is a full time role and a driving licence is essential.
