About the Role

The Global Platform Lead is a senior leadership role driving the growth and success of the Platform business. This role will play a key part in defining the strategic path for the mid and long term (18 months to 10 years), identifying opportunities and justifying investment needs, setting priorities and coordinating cross‑functional execution to drive the best portfolio and geographic focus across regions and functions, maximizing profitable and sustainable growth. The role will manage the Starch & Protein Platform businesses by collaborating extensively with leaders across the organization to create and identify new opportunities for the Starch & Protein platform.

Accountabilities
  • Develop and implement the strategic vision for the Platform business to align with the company’s financial goals.
  • Serve as a key member of the Platform leadership team providing direction, guidance and thought leadership.
  • Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the platform and tackle complex problems with innovative optimisation projects.
  • Work closely with the Solutions Team to lead and leverage cross‑functional opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Take full ownership of the Platform growth and profitability driving financial performance and accountability across the platform.
  • Drive growth on strategic product lines within various regions focusing on impactful market penetration and expansion.
  • Deliver successful commercialisation of the New Product Development (NPD) platform and achieve NPD sales targets.
  • Manage the Innovation pipeline development and ensure the Platform Strategy creates a sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Platform function.
  • Introduce new technologies and solutions to address complex issues and streamline operations.
Skills and Experience (Manager)
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role preferably at GM level within a global organization in the B‑2‑B specialty ingredients or food systems industry.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen with a deep understanding of P&L management, innovation management and product management.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities.
  • Highly advanced communication skills for regular interactions and influencing with senior internal and external stakeholders. Able to influence managed areas and persuade peers and key decision‑makers in a matrixed organization. Experience presenting and facilitating decisions with Executive Leadership and Boards.
  • Ability to drive execution and deliver results in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Problems faced are complex and may require multidimensional solutions and thought leadership.
