Volunteer to Career Ward Clerk Support, Elective Care Suite, Cumberland Infirmary
This is a busy Surgical admission Unit which accommodates Day patients and In-patients prior and post-operatively following surgery/ procedure.
The Volunteer to Career Programme enables you to complete essential mandatory training and a requirement to also complete 60 hours (approx. 4 hours per week) supporting the Ward Clerk in the Elective Care Suite at the Cumberland Infirmary. On successful completion of this programme you will be interviewed to join our Bank register as a Casual Admin Officer.
The programme provides volunteers with training and support to transition into a career in administration within the NHS. It allows individuals to gain valuable experience and essential transferable skills.
The VtC programme is open to anyone who is interested in a career within the NHS. Volunteers who would like to volunteer in our administration offices should be able to commit for at least 60 hours for a minimum of 5 months, be over 18 years old, have the right to work in the UK, and be ready to go through recruitment checks and training requirements.
