Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do at Marie Curie. Were currently seeking compassionate and committed individuals on to support the day-to-day running of our Glasgow hospice and help create a warm welcoming environment for patients and their families.

What Youll Be Doing

As a hospice volunteer youll play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and providing comfort to those in our care. Your tasks may include :

• General administration : filing photocopying collating and sorting documents.
• Using computer programmes such as Microsoft Office to complete tasks.
• Monitoring and maintaining stationery supplies.
• Greeting visitors and patients with warmth and professionalism.
• Receiving deliveries and notifying relevant staff.
• Answering phone calls politely and passing on messages.
• Respecting confidentiality around patient details and hospice records.
• Escorting visitors around the hospice.
• Supporting communication between families and staff.
• Assisting with drinks food and transport arrangements for patients.
• Helping with other related tasks as needed.
