Job description

Nepacs has been supporting people affected by the criminal justice system for over 140 years. We’re now recruiting a Team Leader to oversee the delivery of our vital visits’ services at HMP Durham.

In this rewarding role, you’ll lead a team of staff and volunteers to ensure visiting family members and friends receive a warm, supportive and informative experience.

From managing the visitors’ centre and tea bar to planning child‑friendly visits and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations, your role will be key in helping people maintain crucial family connections.

You’ll work closely with prison staff and internal teams, support the development of new ideas, and ensure excellent service delivery at all times.

We’re looking for someone with strong team leadership and organisational skills, experience working in a busy, customer‑focused or support environment, and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact on people’s lives.

You’ll also ensure accurate monitoring and reporting by collecting and inputting data in line with organisational systems.

This role is subject to enhanced DBS, prison vetting and referencing checks.
