We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the Manor Vet team at our recently refurbished Shirley site. This role offers a well-balanced caseload between surgery and medicine. We could also consider a consult‑only role for those that’d prefer this. We’re able to offer candidates a relocation allowance of up to £5000 for those that require it, as well as a welcome bonus of up to £5000 (pro rata) for new hires. Ideally, we’re looking for a candidate that has at least a couple of years of UK clinical experience.
We are proud to say our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours truly tips the scale on your work‑life balance. We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance, whether you are looking for a full‑time or part‑time role we are sure we can find the right rota pattern for you. Typically, a full‑time role would involve working 40 hours per week (4 days per week), along with a shared Saturday morning rota, which sits at 4:12 with time back in lieu. There’s no out of hours or on‑call required with the role.

The Shirley site is well‑equipped with digital X‑ray, ultrasound, laparoscopy and CT at our nearby Halesowen site.
"I started my career at Manor as a student vet nurse. The team welcomed me, were eager to show me the ropes and to get me involved with the wide and varied case load that we treat. Over the years I have been able to really utilise my nursing skills and broaden my knowledge within a supportive and caring environment. I have always been encouraged to improve and develop. Therefore, my role has changed over the years – SVN, RVN, senior inpatient nurse and now Nursing manager. I feel very lucky to be part of a team that really does aim to deliver the best care to our patients" – Amy, Nursing Manager.
