A veterinary practice in West Yorkshire is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role offers a flexible schedule with no out-of-hours work and a focus on work-life balance. Responsibilities include managing consultations and surgeries with a supportive team environment. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Veterinary Medicine and be committed to ongoing development, with a competitive salary up to £70,000 plus bonuses and allowances.
Salary up to £70,000 DOE, up to £5,000 Welcome Bonus Plus up to £5,000 Relocation Allowance. We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join us at Towerwood Vets in Cookridge, West Yorkshire. You will have access to a varied caseload including a mix of consults and surgery, which can be weighted to your preferences. We’re a practice that prioritises our people by placing an emphasis on careful diary management, a flexible rota and a strong focus on communication, wellbeing and teamwork.
Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours truly tips the scale on your work life balance. We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it brilliantly easy for you to strike the right balance. There is no out of hours with this role; the ideal candidate would take a share in the weekend rota which is currently 1 in 4 which consists of a Saturday only 8:30am-6:30pm. A full time role would involve working 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days (depending on your needs). We\'re also able to offer part time and flexi rota\'s should that be more desirable.
We are situated in picturesque North West Leeds. We have excellent travel links as we’re very close to Leeds Bradford airport and within easy reach of Leeds, Harrogate and York whilst on the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales countryside. We truly have something for everyone! We can offer you the chance to immerse yourself in the peace and serenity of the Yorkshire countryside, or perhaps you’d prefer the vibrant and booming student culture within Leeds City. We have 5 fully equipped rooms for general consults, prep room and separate theatre, separate cat and dog wards, a separate waiting area for feline patients. Our facilities offer an extensive array of medical equipment, and we aim to tailor our roles to suit your clinical interests and professional development. We have a second branch equipped with two consult rooms, recovery kennels, prep and theatre.
Our team is composed of 3 Vets, 8 RVN\'s, 4 SVN\'s and 2 ACA\'s. The clinical team is complimented by a Clinical Director, Practice Manager HVN as well as a dedicated reception team. Our team boasts a wide range of expertise, we have a certificate holder in imaging, as well as our Clinical Director who is a member of the faculty of Homeopathy. CPD is encouraged and our team often go en masse to conferences to combine CPD with team bonding! Certificates can be supported.
