CliniHunters is a boutique headhunting consultancy connecting exceptional veterinary professionals with standout independent practices across the UK and Ireland. We are partnering with a progressive, values‑led group committed to clinical excellence, team wellbeing and meaningful patient outcomes — not corporate targets.

If you’re a Veterinary Surgeon seeking true leadership influence, professional autonomy and the chance to shape clinical standards in a non‑corporate environment, this role offers the perfect balance of challenge, support and strategic impact.

About our clients' Hospital

A compact but well‑equipped 24 / 7 site with a planned refurbishment in 2026 to expand and modernise clinical space. Equipment includes digital X‑ray, CT, advanced ultrasound and dental radiography. The RVN team is strong, supportive and highly engaged.

Team & Culture

A warm, welcoming and young‑ish team with a relaxed, positive vibe. Known internally as a “go‑to” site — friendly, collaborative, and enjoyable to work in.

Your Leadership Role

As Lead Vet, you’ll set clinical standards, mentor vets at all levels and foster a confident, growth‑focused culture. Working with the Practice Manager and Lead Nurse, you’ll influence hospital operations, optimise workflows and contribute to KPIs and P&L performance. You’ll also play a key role in preparing the site for its upcoming redevelopment.

Clinical Support

You’ll have access to an outstanding multidisciplinary network, including :

  • ECC Advanced Practitioner (progressing in Internal Medicine)
  • Orthopaedic and Soft Tissue certificate holders
  • Dental Vet working towards a certificate
  • Access to a Diplomat Specialist in soft tissue and orthopaedics
The Opportunity & Challenge

Ideal for an experienced clinician who enjoys developing others and influencing strategy. Surgical progression is best suited to someone already operating at an advanced level. The main challenge lies in leading a busy team in a compact hospital while shaping improvements ahead of refurbishment — a rewarding role for a calm, strategic, hands‑on leader.
