Job Title: Veterinary Surgeon

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum (DOE)

Location: Moor Cottage Veterinary Practice, Berkshire

Job Type: Permanent - Full-time and Part-time applicants welcomed

Hours: Full-time role is 40 hours per week over 4 days, 1:6 Saturdays, no OOH

Who We Are

Moor Cottage Veterinary Practice has proudly served the local community for over 50 years, delivering high‑quality veterinary care for small animals.

We are RCVS accredited and well equipped with modern facilities, including:

  • A separate cat‑only building
  • Laparoscopy and endoscopy
  • Dental suite with radiography
  • Digital X‑ray imaging

Alongside cats, dogs, and rabbits, we also care for a wide range of small mammals and exotics, including guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, tortoises, and birds.

We are proud to support local charities through special rates and actively engage with our community, including regular visits to schools and nurseries to inspire future veterinary professionals.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a team‑oriented Veterinary Surgeon with excellent communication skills and high clinical standards.

  • Proficiency in abdominal ultrasound is essential due to the medical caseload.
  • Cardiac ultrasound experience is desirable.
  • Enjoy a varied role combining consults and surgery.
  • Comfortable working sole charge during some evenings and Saturdays.
  • Confident making independent clinical decisions.
