Job summary

An independent veterinary clinic in Tetford is seeking a receptionist to join their friendly team. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills and have a positive attitude, along with experience in busy reception environments. Responsibilities include managing client interactions and performing administrative duties while maintaining a calm and friendly demeanor. This full-time role requires working 37 hours over 4 days, including one Saturday in four.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience managing phone calls and cash handling is desirable.
  • Experience in handling sensitive and confidential information is advantageous.
  • Ability to remain calm, confident, and friendly under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage front desk and handle client inquiries.
  • Perform administration duties in a veterinary reception.

Overview

About The Role

We are looking for a receptionist with a positive can-do attitude, excellent communication skills, and a love for animals to join our very friendly Reception team at Knotts Yard Vets.

Previous experience working in a busy reception environment, managing phone calls and cash handling is desirable. Experience in handling sensitive and confidential information, as well as using IT systems would also be advantageous. There will be administration duties along with supporting our clients and their pets. This is an environment which is often emotionally stressful for clients and pets. The ability to remain calm, confident, and friendly under pressure is essential.

This is a full-time position - 37 hours over 4 days and 1 in 4 Saturday

There is no OOH within the role.
