Job Description: Ventures & Partnerships Associate

Location: London (On Site 3 days a week)

About the Role

The Ventures & Partnerships Associate will be responsible for supporting the creation of strategic partnerships and collaborations between Form1’s corporate clients and high growth start‑ups, scale‑ups, and SMEs. You will act as a bridge between our corporate clients and the external innovation ecosystem - scouting, structuring, and managing partnerships that deliver mutual commercial benefit to both parties.

Key Responsibilities
Partnership Sourcing:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with scale‑up companies, venture capital investors, and the Form1 advisor community.
  • Proactively identify emerging companies and technologies aligned with our client’s strategic focus areas.
Partnership Execution:
  • Support the shaping collaboration models (e.g., equity investment, joint projects, co‑development, intellectual property licensing).
  • Support the negotiation and structuring of partnership agreements, ensuring mutual benefit and clear value delivery, working with legal advisors.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional input to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery of partnerships.
Partnership Success:
  • Engage with scale‑up partners, ensuring relationships remain productive and sustainable.
  • Track progress, KPIs, and outcomes of partnerships, reporting regularly to senior stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to scale successful collaborations across our corporate client’s organisation.
Internal Collaboration and Stakeholder engagement:
  • Work closely with Form1 corporate clients to capture needs and translate them into external partnership opportunities.
  • Sponsor partnerships internally, showcasing successes and building engagement with new ideas.
Market & Innovation Insight:
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and disruptive innovations.
  • Translate insights into practical recommendations for partnership and capability development.
Skills & Experience
  • 2 to 4 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: Corporate Partnerships, Consulting, Complex business development, Corporate development, Venturing or another relevant Commercial role within a large corporate organisation.
  • Demonstrable experience working in a business-to-business or business-to-government organisation.
  • Demonstrable experience working in high‑tech sectors with complex products, such as defence, aerospace, engineering, or deep tech.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior level stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands‑on execution, with an ability to push projects forward and get things done.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for technology, innovation, and start‑ups.
