Overview

We are looking for experienced Vehicle Body Builders and Repairers to join our fleet maintenance team at our taxi company. The role involves repairing and maintaining the structural reliability and appearance of our vehicles to keep our fleet safe, functional and looking good.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose job requirements or interpret work specifications by receiving required instructions.
• Working with various materials to form parts of vehicle underframe, framework and body structure.
• Hammer out dents in bodywork, fill small dents or corroded areas with solder or other filler compounds and replace damaged body panels using hand and power tools.
• Check and maintain interior and exterior fittings (including seats, seatbelts, windows, doors, catches and roof attachments to provide vehicle and passenger comfort).

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in vehicle body building and repair, preferably with fleet or commercial vehicles.
• Skilled in metalwork, panel beating, filler application and fitting of vehicle components.
• Skilled with hand and power tools used in body repair and assembly work.
• Good attention to detail and a practical problem-solving approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
