Job Description

The Role

Own end-to-end UX / UI for product initiatives within the product team. You’ll move fast on immediate fixes while contributing to bigger roadmap items, design with evidence, and ship UI that’s consistent with our design system.

Responsibilities
  • Design delivery: Translate problems into flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI and clickable prototypes in Figma; write concise specs and acceptance criteria.
  • Heap-aware design: Define success events with PM / Eng so we can measure impact; review dashboards to inform iterations.
  • CX improvements: Ship quick wins without derailing big-ticket work.
  • Design system: Use and extend our component library; contribute tokens / patterns with clear rationale.
  • Research lite: Collaborate with our researcher on rapid tests; run lean usability sessions when needed; fold insights into designs.
  • Quality & access: Partner with engineers through QA; uphold tidy files and leave a clear audit trail (notes, variants, naming).
  • Stakeholder comms: Align with PMs, engineers and data; concise Looms / notes to unblock build.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, driven, and have a passion to be part of a fast-paced, successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.

  • 3–5 years in product-side UX / UI with shipped work in B2B / SaaS or data-heavy apps.
  • Figma power user: components, variants, auto-layout, prototyping, tokens.
  • Comfortable with experiments / metrics (Heap / GA mix).
  • Strong interaction & visual craft; responsive patterns; thoughtful microcopy.
  • Clear communicator, pragmatic, can prioritise and operate autonomously on a contract.
Nice to have
  • Basic HTML / CSS, familiarity with dashboards / financial data, Jira, FigJam.
Success looks like
  • Measurable lifts on activation / retention / cross-sell from the work you ship.
  • Clean handoffs and fewer design QA issues.
  • Reusable patterns added to the design system with documentation.
