Job description
Overview

Based at our Welshpool, WA site, the Utilities Coordinator plays a key role in the safe, efficient, and reliable management of site utilities. You’ll reduce utility expenses, minimise supply risks, and capitalise on opportunities. Working closely with site leaders, you’ll also support Asahi Beverages’ carbon strategy, ensuring compliance while driving sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and operate site utilities, including boilers, refrigeration, air compressors, power, fire services, alcohol plant, sugar silos and chlorine systems.
  • Analyse and reduce energy, water use and waste across the site.
  • Lead building and facilities maintenance, including budgeted repairs.
  • Manage effluent treatment plant operations and trade waste compliance.
  • Oversee security and contractor management.
  • Support and deliver site projects, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with the EHS Lead on carbon audits, emissions projects and reporting.
About You
  • You bring proven experience in engineering, EHS, or utilities roles within FMCG manufacturing and thrive in managing complex site operations.
  • Experience across utilities systems such as refrigeration, water treatment and boilers.
  • Practical knowledge of GMP, SOPs, HACCP and ISO standards.
  • Continuous Improvement expertise (Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent).
  • Strong project management and influencing skills.
  • A collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Qualifications in Science, Engineering, Food Technology or related discipline.
