Job description
User Experience Tester

Full-time | On-site in Fareham | Up to £30,000 + Benefits

We’re looking for a detail-driven User Experience Tester to join a growing product team and help shape seamless, intuitive user journeys across a complex and high-impact product suite. This is a rare opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to break into product, influence meaningful change, and gain visibility across the business.

This is the first hire of its kind, offering huge scope to learn, grow, and make a real difference.

About the Role

You’ll work across the entire product ecosystem, large, multi-layered systems used in a variety of states, to uncover pain points, oversights, usability issues, and opportunities for improvement. While you’ll be testing and exploring user journeys, the focus is not just bug-finding; it’s product thinking, problem-solving, and representing the customer at every step.

You’ll map user flows, analyse behaviour, propose solutions, and help manage improvements through to delivery. The role also involves working closely with design, operations, compliance, product, and engineering teams.

You’ll report through the product structure and will have direct visibility with the CMO, who heavily influences customer-driven improvements.

What You’ll Do
  • Explore and test end-to-end user journeys across web, app, and communication channels.
  • Identify bugs, friction points, usability gaps, and customer pain points.
  • Develop and refine user flows and test scenarios, ensuring all journeys make sense.
  • Propose solutions and help project-manage improvements from idea to implementation.
  • Collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, compliance, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide clear, structured reporting on findings and progress—often directly to senior leadership.
What We’re Looking For

This is a junior-level product-focused role. You do not need technical or automation experience.

We’re looking for someone who is :
  • Curious, analytical, and genuinely user-focused.
  • Detail-driven with a strong ability to spot inconsistencies or confusing flows.
  • A clear, confident communicator comfortable working cross-functionally.
  • Someone who enjoys problem-solving and thinking about how products could work better.
  • Motivated, proactive, and keen to grow into a broader product or UX role over time.

Ideal for someone seeking their first role in UX, product, or user-focused testing.

The Offer
  • Up to £30,000 salary
  • Full-time, 5 days per week on-site in Fareham
  • Great benefits package
  • Direct visibility with senior leaders and real ownership over product improvements
  • Strong long-term progression into mid-level Product or broader UX roles
Interview Process
  • Initial screening call
  • Followed by an in-person interview
