Job summary

A community health organization is seeking a Child and Young Person (CYP) Mental Health Support Worker. This full-time role involves providing urgent support and collaborating with families and professionals within community settings. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in mental health services, strong communication skills, and a current professional registration. Salary is £26,500 per year, with rota flexibility across evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Up to date knowledge of CYP emotional wellbeing and evidence-based early mental health practice.
  • Experience providing direct urgent mental health services within an urgent care setting.
  • Enhanced DBS check and current UK professional registration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead urgent emotional support for CYP presenting significant safety needs.
  • Coordinate with professionals to document ongoing safety plans.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans for CYP.
