A GP Surgery in England is expanding its Urgent Care Team and seeks a passionate individual to conduct telephone assessments, offer interventions, and work as part of a dedicated healthcare team. The candidate should hold a valid NMC Registration as an RGN with at least 5 years of post-registration experience and the ability to work autonomously. This role offers the chance to make meaningful contributions to patient care while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team in a busy rural practice.
Riverside Surgery is expanding the Urgent Care Team. Are you enthusiastic and well motivated to join our busy GP Surgery. You will be based in Brigg in a busy rural practice. You should value excellent patient care. You will be responsible for the first line telephone assessment of care needs of patients and to provide appropriate interventions and advice as part of our multi-disciplinary Urgent Care Team.
To assess patients by telephone and offer advice, arrange treatment or book the patient an appointment within an agreed time frame with the most appropriate clinician.To offer advice or an appointment to patients with undifferentiated diagnosis, access, diagnose and treat minor illness/injury.To organise and interpret appropriate investigations and make onward referrals as appropriate.To liaise with GPs or other Healthcare professionals as appropriate.To ensure clinical practice is safe and effective and remains within boundaries of competence, and to acknowledge limitations.To take part in training when required and offer teaching and training support to other practice members when required.
Riverside Brigg is a purpose built practice in the centre of Brigg with branch surgeries located in Broughton, Keadby, Crowle and Skippingdale. Five GP partners care for nearly 24,500 patients; we are a Training Practice, host medical students and nurses and also offer work placements. We are a dispensing practice with a pharmacy attached at both sites in Brigg and Broughton. The partners have specialist interests in Cardiology, Dermatology, Diabetes, Minor Surgery, Respiratory and Substance Misuse. We employ one ANP with an interest in; Paediatrics. The Urgent Care Team manages on the day demand offering emergency appointments and telephone advice. Practice nurses manage chronic disease within the surgery and are supported by six HCAs. The practice employs three Nurse Associates as part of the nursing team. Two practice Pharmacist's manage prescribing and medicines optimisation. The clinical team is supported by a multi-professional administration team.
