I am currently partnered with a leading Lloyd's Syndrome who are seeking an Underwriting Assistant to join their growing team.

This role will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of records kept for the underwriting classes across the MGA, working closely with the Underwriters of these classes and with the Operations function as required. You will be handling a variety of lines of business including; Construction, Cyber, Aviation and more.

My client is looking for someone with circa 2+ years experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately capture underwriting risk information and maintain complete records within the primary MGA Policy Administration System and any other relevant platforms.
  • Build a strong understanding of the Policy Administration System (PAS) and Insureflow/Sequel MGA to ensure data entry supports accurate and meaningful analysis and reporting.
  • Scan slips, endorsements, and placement documents as required.
  • Process manual closings and endorsements, resolve queries from underwriters and brokers regarding premium receipts, and support the reconciliation of written versus paid variances.
  • Stay informed about technical and operational developments affecting the MGA platform.
  • Validate risk information, review discrepancies, and clear system exceptions.
  • Support the creation of regular and ad hoc business reports.
  • Liaise with brokers, colleagues, and external parties to resolve day-to-day underwriting queries.
