Exciting opportunity to join Beazley’s Finance team. We are looking for a Tax Assistant [based in Birmingham?] on a six month fixed term contract to help support the team.

The tax team is currently 11 people and we need additional resource to manage our growing responsibilities.

Job Title: Tax Assistant (6 months FTC)

Division: Tax / Finance

Key Relationships:

Finance team, Underwriters, Tax Advisors and Auditors.

Job Summary:

A key role in our tax team, supporting the rest of the tax team managing tax compliance and reporting obligations as well as supporting the business on tax queries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of corporation tax returns, VAT returns and insurance premium tax returns as needed for group entities.
  • Assist with payments across Europe.
  • Assisting with tax accounting and reporting for entity and consolidated financial statements.
  • Assisting on other tax and finance projects.
  • Ad hoc tax or accounting tasks including co‑ordination and collection of information to prepare internal reports.
  • Support the wider tax team (11 people) with other areas of taxation as required.
  • Help produce management information for internal stakeholders, showing the work of the tax team.
  • To comply with relevant Beazley procedures and policies.
