This pivotal role supports the UK Tax Manager in managing tax compliance and consulting, with responsibilities that include preparing annual corporation tax computations and managing VAT returns. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a global network of relationships with key decision-makers in corporations, governments, and investing institutions. The successful candidate will assist the UK Tax Manager in day-to-day tax compliance and consulting for all UK entities as well as some offshore operations.
As a UK Tax Accountant, your role will be pivotal in supporting the UK Tax Manager in managing day-to-day tax compliance and consulting activities. You will be involved in various aspects of taxation, including corporation tax, VAT, payroll related duties, and tax accounting. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be crucial in preparing annual corporation tax computations, managing VAT returns, and ensuring VAT liabilities are settled on time. Your ability to prioritise tasks will be essential as you balance various responsibilities such as assisting with payroll duties, preparing tax figures for annual accounts, and providing general support to the UK Tax Manager.
As a UK Tax Accountant, you bring a strong academic background coupled with experience in relevant fields. Your qualifications as a recently chartered accountant specialising in tax, along with your strong understanding of basic accounting concepts, will be invaluable in this role. Your excellent analytical, problem-solving and commercial skills will enable you to navigate complex tax scenarios effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role. Your ability to prioritise tasks, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail will contribute significantly to your success.
