JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibility for driving Sales & Business Development in the UK. This role will manage all Investment Services (IS) Sales representatives in the UK and oversee as matrix manager the UK IS enablement and consultant relations teams.

The role will oversee sales performance across all IS products; as well as cross-product, One State Street opportunities

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage performance of UK IS sales team
    • Assume delegated responsibility from the “SMF for the Commercial Office” for Sales and any internal KPIs relating to sales such as the UK sales target
    • Represent the sales team in internal and external meetings and events
    • Own and regularly produce sales analysis, pipeline information and other management reporting
    • Own and facilitate the development of a clear UK sales strategy across all products and segments
    • Delegate for, where relevant, SMFs and other senior managers on meetings relating to sales
    • Utilise technology and other methods to drive efficiency in the team and improve internal processes
  • Deliver Sales as an individual sales representative
    • Deliver/exceed annual sales and revenue targets by building and executing sales strategies
    • Lead sales process from prospecting through close, including lead generation, client meetings, prospect qualification, and RFP completion
    • Successfully partner with teams of executives and subject matter experts through all aspects of a long and detailed sales cycle
    • Proactively build/drive pipeline volume, accelerate sales cycle, manage to close
    • Diligently track and manage all opportunities in CRM tool
    • Represent State Street at relevant industry events and conferences
    • Develop and maintain strong product knowledge and understanding of competitive offerings
    • Collaborate with relevant management resources to drive product and messaging strategies to differentiate our solutions
    • Partner with Product Specialist and Demo team during client presentations to ensure client engagement and positive outcome
    • Work closely with operations, legal, risk and relationship management to align opportunities with corporate goals
    • Network to uncover other relationships / services that enhance prospecting opportunities
    • Understand, monitor, and communicate competitor activity throughout the market, identifying key strengths and weaknesses relative to State Street’s product offering
    • Provide feedback to Corporate Marketing on product positioning, marketing materials, and industry trends
    • Demonstrate commitment to AML risk excellence through the timely completion of the firm’s “know your customer” due diligence requirements, including for periodic and event driven reviews;
    • Escalate proactively material issues and unusual activity that might have an impact on the management of financial crime risk on an ongoing basis as well as at the time of client’s periodic and event driven reviews; and maintain role-specific knowledge of the current anti-money laundering and financial crime risks and issues affecting your business through training and communications
