Job description
Overview

Frobel Education is recruiting subject tutors for all subjects, in particular, Maths, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, English, Humanities, Languages, Economics, Business Studies and Computing and specialist adult education courses, such as SIA and Functional Skills.

Qualifications & Requirements

Successful candidates will be educated to a good standard and to a minimum of A Level for the subject(s) to be tutored. Our current tutors’ qualifications range from A Level to PhD. Tutors will have a high standard of communication (written and verbal) to a minimum of Level 2, or equivalent. They will demonstrate polite and effective interpersonal skills and have the ability to follow policies and procedures set by Frobel Education and external agencies.

Responsibilities

Following a training period, successful candidates will tutor and instruct KS3, KS4, KS5 and/or adult students according to the Exam Board specification and/or National Curriculum; implement methods of assessing the performance of students; co‑ordinate and undertake the evaluation of assessments and award grades and feedback based upon performance. Tutors provide private academic, vocational and other instruction to individuals or groups.

Additional Information

Good knowledge of safeguarding and how to work effectively with young people is required. Tutors will uphold the skills and attributes set out in the ‘Teachers’ Standards Part 2’. Successful candidates receive high quality training and attend a detailed staff induction programme.
