• Tutoring in a home setting or residential setting for LAC.
• Work 1:1 with students from various backgrounds.
• Plan and implement lesson plans and activities.

Skills

Teaching qualifications (QTS / QTLS / PGCE)

Experience with children with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH)

Knowledge of curriculum development

Responsibilities

• Tutoring involves working in a home setting; this may be the family home or a residential setting for LAC.
• Work 1:1 with students from various backgrounds and differentiating needs; students ages can range from key stage 1 to further education.
• Plan lesson plans and activities for tutoring; ensure the curriculum is covered sufficiently.
• Support a young person\'s re-engagement in education.
• Adopt a creative and versatile teaching style.

Qualifications & Experience

• Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS / PGCE), Subject Specialism or extensive tuition experience supporting with English, Maths and/or Science
• Experience, knowledge and understanding of working with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH)
• Experience, knowledge and understanding of working with disengaged young people or looked after children
• An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to acquire one
