Overview

POST: Trust IT Technician
LOCATION: Schools across the Trust
GRADE: Band D SCP 9-17
SALARY: £27,255 - £31,022 per annum
HOURS: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a talented individual with an inquisitive nature and excellent attention to detail to join our IT Support Team working across our schools based in the Black Country. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ICT Technician to provide technical support and expertise across our Trust. Applicants should ideally have a minimum of two years\' experience in the IT sector, with a sound working knowledge of the following.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support across Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust schools, including hardware and software troubleshooting, diagnostics, data backup, upgrades and rebuilds.
  • Install and configure Microsoft Windows on standalone devices and networked PCs.
  • Set up and manage Office 365 services (Outlook, OneDrive for Business, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint Online) and install Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Set up computer hardware, software, and systems; configure network printers; manage software deployment locally and through package allocation.
  • Maintain security and address computer viruses and related threats; apply basic Microsoft Azure Active Directory concepts such as users and permissions.
  • Travel between schools to transfer equipment and provide on-site support as required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum of two years\' experience in the IT sector.
  • Strong hardware repair capabilities for laptops and tablets.
  • Experience with Windows installation on devices and networked PCs; good understanding of Office 365 and related services.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite installation and general IT setup.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues, and to manage data backups and security matters.
  • Flexible, customer-focused approach to work and willingness to travel between schools.
