Overview

We are looking for motivated doctors (post‑Foundation and above) who want to:

  • Develop advanced skills in symptom management and holistic end‑of‑life care across all illness groups.
  • Gain direct experience in acute oncology and oncological emergencies as part of our expanding service.
  • Work closely with both the hospital advisory and community specialist palliative care teams, ensuring patients receive streamlined, coordinated care – with opportunities to shadow each service.
  • Access dedicated time for research and service improvement projects, supported by consultants and the Academic Centre for Healthy Aging. Our consultant team have an excellent track record of supporting fellows to publish and present nationally.
  • Shape the future of palliative care as we undergo significant service redesign, with opportunities to attend high‑level NHS strategy and service development meetings.

The role does not include on‑call commitments, allowing you to focus on developing your skills, research interests, and professional portfolio in a supportive environment.

Training and Development
