Treasury Manager - Risk and Projects
£75,000 to £80,000 dependent on skills and experience
Fixed Term Contract (maternity cover) - 12 months
Huntingdon or London - hybrid role with office and home working

The Treasury team manages circa £8.5bn of debt, as well as significant cash balances including those in the capex account holding proceeds of unallocated Sustainability Bonds and Sustainability loans.

The Treasury Manager plays a pivotal role in leading the Treasury team through transformation and ensuring that new risks are correctly assessed and managed in compliance with Treasury policy and covenants.

Key responsibilities
  • Development of the Treasury Management System and other Treasury solutions to improve efficiency, maintain control, and enable better visibility and accuracy of treasury transactions.
  • Lead the scoping process for a new Treasury Management System.
  • Lead the day-to-day relationship with the relevant Account Bank to ensure delivery of the appropriate operational service, ensuring their formalities are met.
  • Manage the effective and efficient running of the Treasury team ensuring all treasury, pensions, energy and banking transactions are processed efficiently.
  • Coordinating the Treasury team and advisors and overseeing all treasury transactions undertaken.
  • Lead the implementation and the delivery of the Bottomline replacement project, maintaining controls on costs for resources involved, coordinating the internal and external stakeholders and support the Project Manager assigned to the project.
  • Develop, implement and manage the necessary frameworks and protocols across treasury and commercial operations.
  • Provide strategic advice on appropriate risk management practices in relation to exposures to Foreign Exchange and Commodity prices across the AMP8 Totex programme.

What does it take to be successful?
  • Technical skills in financial accounting; experience within a finance/treasury function.
  • In depth knowledge of treasury management systems and payment systems as well as strong system aptitude.
  • Experience of managing debt portfolios and banking relationships.
  • Proven ability to react quickly to complex situations, with the ability to problem solve, assimilate, understand, and challenge, and then to resolve appropriately.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and IT skills.
  • Able to think on your feet, and provide supervision, direction and encouragement to Treasury Team members.
  • Respond effectively to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Flexible, resistant, team player, who is proactive and results orientated.
