Location: Market Street, RG12 1JD

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 2+ Months

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £311.87 Per Day

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the Education Transport and Fleet Management Services to ensure safe, efficient, and effective service delivery.
  • Develop and implement policies and processes to meet statutory responsibilities and manage budget pressures.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to senior management, elected members, schools, and other stakeholders.
  • Support Strategic Commissioning in establishing a new framework for home-to-school transport.
  • Ensure contractor performance meets service standards and safeguarding measures.
  • Maintain an effective risk management framework for transport services.
Person Specifications
Must Have
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in managing Home to School Transport services.
  • Contract management skills.
  • Experience in writing processes and procedures to meet statutory transport regulations.
  • Knowledge of effective safeguarding procedures.
  • Experience in human and financial resource management.
  • Ability to work effectively in corporate and partnership settings.
