Responsibilities

• Debrief drivers correctly.
• Check all timesheets for completion accuracy.
• Scan and store PODs using the document management system.
• Prepare drivers’ wallets and delivery notes.
• Answer telephone and assist with enquiries.
• Communicate ETAs to Customer Services.
• Update spreadsheets including change-overs and run summaries.
• Manage loads using the Transport Management System.

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Support Operator to join our Stafford Transport team on a full time permanent basis.

As a Transport Support Operator you will be responsible for providing administrative support and accurate data, with the ability to work to deadlines in order to contribute to the overall success of the site.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30-17.00

Salary:£26,138 per annum.

Key Duties of a Transport Support Operator:

• Correctly debrief drivers.
• Checking all timesheets for correct completion and ensuring all PODs are returned completed correctly.
• Scanning and storing PODs using Culina’s document management system.
• Preparing drivers’ wallets and issuing delivery notes in drop sequence plus any other relevant delivery information.
• Answering the telephone and assisting with any enquiries.
• Ensuring all estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) are communicated to Customer Services.
• Consistently updating all spreadsheets including, but not limited to; change-overs, run summaries and trailer check sheets.
• Departing & Completing of loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loads.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Administration.
• Good attention to detail andaccuracy.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
• Good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office e.g. PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Able to work as part of a team or individually.
