Job Overview

We’re looking for an organised and proactive Transport Resource Planner to join our client’s fast‑paced logistics operation in Newark. This key role ensures drivers, vehicles, and routes are planned efficiently to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Hours

You will be working office hours of 08:00 – 17:00 each day. There are two shift patterns (which do not rotate): Monday to Friday or Sunday to Thursday.

Compensation

£14.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage daily and weekly driver and vehicle plans
• Allocate drivers, vehicles, and routes to meet operational demands
• Manage rotas, holidays, and last‑minute changes
• Monitor live operations and resolve issues quickly and effectively
• Ensure full compliance with Working Time Directive (WTD) and driver hours
• Maintain accurate data and reports using TMS and Excel

Qualifications

• Previous experience in transport planning or logistics coordination
• Strong knowledge of driver hours and transport compliance
• Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail
• Able to remain calm, organised, and decisive in a fast‑paced environment
• Comfortable using planning systems and Excel
