Job summary

A leading transport services provider is seeking a Transport Planner in Manchester to manage and support a fleet of drivers. The role includes booking deliveries, ensuring compliance with transport legislation, and effective communication with customers. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in transport planning and excellent geographical knowledge of the UK. This is a permanent position offering a salary of up to £32,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a transport planner.
• Legal compliance knowledge – Tachographs, infringements, WTDs.
• Organised and able to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support a fleet of drivers on a daily basis.
• Monitoring driver times, progress, and providing ETAs.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding delays, changes or updates.
