Job summary

A leading logistics provider in Worksop is seeking a Transport Planner to optimise routes and ensure timely deliveries. The role requires experience in transport planning, knowledge of UK driving regulations, and a full, clean UK driving licence. Successful candidates will monitor fleet operations and coordinate with drivers and customers. The position is full time with rotating shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experienced in transport and route planning within logistics.
• Knowledge of UK/EU driving laws, tachographs, and vehicle limits.
• Full UK driving licence; HGV/Driver CPC advantageous.

Express Recruitment is delighted to be representing a leading logistics provider renowned for excellence in their sector. They are actively seeking a Transport Planner to join their talented and expanding team.

The role involves planning efficient, compliant routes across the national fleet and coordinating daily operations to ensure deliveries meet the high standards the company is known for. A full, clean UK Driving Licence is required for this position.

The role involves working shifts Monday – Friday between 8:00am – 20:00pm on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Plan and optimise UK van and HGV routes, balancing hours, capacity, and legal rules
• Coordinate with drivers and customers for on-time deliveries
• Monitor fleet via TMS/GPS and adjust plans as needed
• Manage staffing, vehicles, maintenance, and training
• Analyse performance to drive improvements

Skills & Experience

• Experienced in transport and route planning within logistics
• Knowledge of UK/EU driving laws, tachographs, and vehicle limits
• Strong UK geography and skilled with TMS and GPS
• Full UK licence. HGV/Driver CPC advantageous
