Transport Planner – Aberdeen – Up to £45,000 per annum!

Job type: Permanent

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30-5pm

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner to join a thriving and established logistics team in Aberdeen.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in domestic and international route planning as well as general haulage operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and optimise transport routes across the UK and Europe to ensure cost-effective and timely deliveries.
2. Coordinate general haulage operations.
3. Manage road freight imports & exports.
4. Liaise with drivers, subcontractors, and customers to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
5. Resolve delivery issues, delays, or route changes in real time.
6. Support in sourcing and managing subcontracted transport when necessary.

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in a transport planner role, ideally within general haulage and both domestic and international logistics.
• Strong knowledge of UK and European road transport regulations.
• Experience with route planning software and TMS platforms.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
