Location: Droitwich

Hours: Monday - Friday 22:00 - 06:30 / Days whilst training

Pay: £31,925 per annum

Contract: Temp - Perm

Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Transport Administrator on behalf of our client based in Droitwich. This is a temporary-permanent position, working permanent night shifts after a successful trial period. Please note that initial training will take place on the day shift, so flexibility is essential. Previous experience in a similar role is required.

The duties of a Transport Administrator:
  • Answer calls and emails promptly and professionally.
  • Resolve customer queries and keep accurate communication records.
  • Support the Transport Management Team with daily operations and updates.
  • Coordinate with other departments and relay information to drivers and depot staff.
  • Collect and maintain required transport documents (PODs, delivery notes, defect reports, driver hours, etc.).
  • Keep vehicle, driver, and tachograph records up to date for compliance.
  • Maintain servicing, MOT, and maintenance records in line with DVSA requirements.
  • Prepare documents for audits and complete general admin tasks (filing, scanning, data entry).
The requirements of a Transport Administrator:
  • Ensure deliveries are on time and meet contractual requirements.
  • Store documents correctly so they are easy to retrieve for audits.
  • Track driver training, licence checks, and medicals to ensure they are completed before expiry.
  • Communicate customer instructions clearly to depot staff and drivers.
  • Maintain customer service levels by processing requests promptly.
  • Ensure transport operations follow Health & Safety, DVSA, and company policies.
