A local education authority in Edinburgh seeks a talented Transition Teacher to support students at Curriculum for Excellence levels in various primary schools and a high school. The position involves implementing literacy, numeracy, and health and wellbeing programs while fostering inclusive education practices. Transition Teacher – Wester Hailes Learning Community
Salary: £33,594 - £50,589 | Hours: 35 per week
We are looking to recruit a talented, dynamic and nurturing Transition Teacher to join the team in the Wester Hailes Learning Community (Canal View Primary School, Clovenstone Primary School, Sighthill Primary School and Wester Hailes High School).
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who will support children at Curriculum for Excellence (CfE) Second and Third Levels across our Learning Community schools. You will support the implementation of City of Edinburgh Council Attainment, through effective Literacy, Numeracy and Health and Wellbeing learning and curricular transition across our education establishments.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the satisfactory outcome of both pre-employment checks.
