Job summary

A reputable care home provider is looking for a Night Team Leader to lead and supervise the night shift. The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 3 in health and social care and experience managing staff in a residential care setting. Care Unit Manager – Night Team Leader

Join Care UK as a Night Team Leader for a well-established care home. This paid, full‑time position offers a 3 nights on, 3 nights off rota with shifts from 7:45pm to 8:00am, and hours of 33 or 44 per week.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the night shift unit, ensuring the delivery of excellent, person‑centred care through the team.
  • Delegate workload in a collaborative, supportive and informative way.
  • Ensure residents’ medical, physical and emotional needs are met while championing their safety and dignity.
  • Oversee admissions of new residents and provide a smooth handover to the day team.
  • Carry out physical and psychological risk assessments and develop personalised care plans.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to develop and improve services.
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain a fun, inclusive, and professional approach at all times.
Qualifications & Skills
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in health and social care.
  • Experience in managing residential care staff and working with residents.
  • Strong organisational and IT literacy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – able to build trust with staff, residents and families.
