Job summary

A UK law enforcement agency is seeking a dedicated Learning and Development Training Manager to enhance its training function. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic Senior Management Team, promoting continuous professional development and managing multi-disciplined teams. Strong leadership and mentoring skills are required alongside experience in adult learning theories. This permanent role offers a salary between £43,668 and £48,459 for 37 hours a week.

Post: Learning and Development Training Manager

Salary: PO 3 / 4 - £43,668 - £48,459

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Learning and Development Centre (LDC), Grangetown

We are seeking a dedicated and professional individual to work as part of the Senior Management Team within Learning and Development. As the Learning and Development Training Manager you will develop Cleveland Police’s Learning and Development function in line with the Force’s priorities and the communities we serve. If you are passionate about training, promoting continuous professional development and ensuring that individuals reach their potential this could be the role for you.

You will work with both internal and external stakeholders to plan, direct and deliver key learning and development programmes ensuring they are in line with national standards and quality assurance frameworks. We are looking for candidates who have strong management and leadership skills as you will be responsible for a number of multi-disciplined teams who design and deliver a blend of classroom and online learning products.

Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate experience of working at a tactical level to deliver strategic priorities. You will have the ability to develop and mentor staff as well as possessing knowledge on adult learning theories and effective design of lessons. You will motivate and inspire your teams to perform at their best, setting targets and supporting them to succeed.
