Overview

Halo ARC Westbury is seeking a motivated Multiskilled Trainee Vehicle Technician. The role offers training through on-the-job experience and college education, with a structured pathway to IMI accreditation. The training covers MET, Panel and Paint disciplines and includes additional IMI qualifications in air conditioning, EV systems, ADAS, and welding. Block week training is provided by EMTEC Colleges and accommodation is arranged by the college. This position is based at Halo’s accident repair centre in Westbury and involves a modern, fast-paced, clean working environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs to a high standard in mechanical/electrical removal/replacement, vehicle prepping, painting, panel beating, strip/re-fit.
  • Diagnose and resolve vehicle issues accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workplace to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure all equipment and tools are used safely and maintained to a high standard.
  • Engage in continuous training and development through the training centre and external courses as required.
  • Occasionally assist the team with vehicle collection and delivery tasks.
  • Maintain a clear, methodical, and clean working area at all times.
  • Wear correct PPE and follow all Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Follow company procedures, policies, practices, and Production Manager’s instructions.
  • Provide a positive and enthusiastic approach to work.

Salary: £32,409 per annum + extra hours. Hours: 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday and 1 in 2 Saturdays 8am – 12pm depending on business needs.
