Job description
Trainee Teacher – Nationwide (UK)

School-Based | Salaried & Tuition-Fee Routes Available

Thinking about becoming a teacher but not sure where to start?

Want hands-on classroom experience while training, not just theory?

Ready to turn your degree into a career that genuinely makes a difference?

We are working with schools across the UK to recruit ambitious graduates and career-changers into Trainee Teacher positions starting throughout the academic year. Opportunities are available nationwide — including London, the South East, Midlands, North West and beyond — across primary, secondary and specialist settings.

These are school-based teacher training routes, meaning you’ll train inside a real classroom from day one, supported by experienced mentors while working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Both salaried and tuition-fee training pathways are available, depending on location, subject and experience.

What the Trainee Teacher Role Involves:
  • Training in a school, not just at university
  • Teaching lessons under supervision while gradually increasing responsibility
  • Receiving structured mentoring, coaching and regular feedback
  • Working towards QTS (and PGCE in many cases)
  • Gaining experience in behaviour management, planning and assessment
  • Being part of a professional school staff team from day one
Why Train This Way?
  • Learn on the job with real classroom experience
  • Earn while you train (on salaried routes)
  • Strong employment prospects upon qualification
  • Tailored support and subject-specific development
  • A clear, practical route into a long‑term teaching career

We support applicants at every stage — from initial application and school matching to interview preparation and securing the right training route.
