A leading energy services company in Coleshill CP seeks a Trainee Site Manager to assist in the delivery of construction projects within social housing. This role involves hands-on training in site supervision and compliance management. Candidates should have a genuine interest in site management, strong communication skills, and be organized. The Trainee Site Manager supports the safe and effective delivery of construction, refurbishment, and maintenance projects within social housing properties. Working under the guidance of experienced Site and Project Managers, the role provides hands‑on training in site supervision, compliance management, and operational delivery. The Trainee Site Manager will assist in coordinating operatives, subcontractors, and materials, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards while maintaining excellent relationships with residents and clients.
Essential
A genuine interest in developing a career in site management within the social housing or construction industry.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer‑focused approach when working in occupied homes.
Awareness of basic construction methods, health and safety requirements, and site operations.
Organised and proactive, with a willingness to learn from experienced colleagues and take on increasing responsibility over time.
IT literacy (e.g., Microsoft Office, digital reporting tools).
Full UK driving licence or ability to travel between sites.
Working towards or recently completed a qualification in Construction Management, Site Supervision, or a related discipline (e.g., HNC, HND, T Level, or Degree).
Previous experience in a construction or maintenance environment (e.g., work placement, apprenticeship, or trade background).
CSCS card or willingness to obtain one.
Awareness of social housing compliance standards and resident engagement principles.
Understanding of CDM Regulations and Building Regulations.
