Job description

We are looking to recruit several trainee high intensity therapists in our Ealing Talking Therapies team on a one-year, fixed-term contract.

We are seeking to recruit people with either a core profession such as Clinical/ Counselling Psychology, mental health nursing, or social work who have experience of working therapeutically with CBT, or experienced PWPs who would like to make the transition to high intensity therapy.

High intensity training will take place Royal Holloway, University of London (Paddington campus) two days per week with trainees being on site in Ealing Talking Therapies three days per week.

The 12-month High Intensity course provided by the University is recognised for its high quality and we have a strong track record of successfully supporting our trainees through their studies.

You will be studying alongside other colleagues who are also completing the same course and will be guided by our highly knowledgeable and approachable supervisors.

In addition, you will receive support to further develop your skills and career with access to a range of CPD opportunities.

Ealing Talking Therapies is passionate about offering a great quality therapy to our patients and we are very proud to be able to consistently offer all the Talking Therapies- approved therapies, such as EMDR, DIT, IPT, BCT, and CfD.

To that effect, we are committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of our staff and training in additional Talking Therapies modalities is highly encouraged.

We have close links with our neighbouring services (H&F and Hounslow) and share our CPD events with them, providing an opportunity to link up with our colleagues across the Trust.

Over the last year, our staff have attended in-house training in complex PTSD, LTC, OCD, perinatal, and many others.

In addition to the standard talking therapies, our service is one of only two Talking Therapies services in London that offer an exercise group for our patients (Running to Better Health), which is consistently achieving high recovery rates and is highly regarded.
