Qualifications

• Willingness to grow into a Project Leader role.
• Willingness to travel to client sites or off-site testing locations.
• Experience in fire resistance or product testing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and delivery of fire tests on building products.
• Support Project Leaders with test setup, supervision, and reporting.
• Liaise with clients to ensure timely and accurate test preparation.
• Record test results and assist in drafting technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with UKAS procedures and health and safety regulations.

Skills

Science, engineering, or relevant construction background

Strong documentation and basic technical report writing skills

Practical, hands-on skills in a test-lab environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet-based tools

Organised, self-motivated, and able to prioritise tasks

Ability to support technical projects and follow structured procedures

Awareness of and commitment to safe working practices
