Overview

Job Title - Trainee Asbestos Surveyor/ Analyst

Location - Scotland Central Belt area

Salary - £26k rising to £28k once gained first qualification (3 months)

My client is a well-established environmental services company working across the UK. With over 20 years of experience within the Asbestos industry.

About the job
  • Building inspections, including management and refurbishment/demolition asbestos surveys
  • Record data accurately on the company database, via a tablet device
  • Accurately record sample information onto sample bags and sample labels
  • Produce accurate electronic site plans, where necessary, and accurately record all sample locations and material extent onto final plans
  • Check plans against data on tablet and sample bags, before submission
  • Ensure all samples taken are submitted to the laboratory or posted for analysis, within the client-specified time frame
  • Competent and confident with surveying software
  • Quality Assurance checks of report accuracy
  • Comply with procedures in accordance with quality manual and current HSE Guidance
About the successful applicant

You'll need to be self-disciplined, experienced, accountable, flexible and have a positive pro-active vision for growth both for the company and personally.

To be successful you will have:

  • Full UK Licence
  • A willingness to take on further training and education
  • Good communication skills with both colleagues and customers
  • Ideally a good base level of science-based subjects
  • Clean record and able to pass a DBS check
