Job summary

Howdens Joinery, the UK’s No1 Trade Kitchen Supplier, is hiring a Business Developer to grow local depots. You’ll speak with trade customers face-to-face and on the phone, build relationships, identify needs and turn conversations into opportunities.

Working with Kitchen Sales Designers and Territory Sales Representatives, you’ll generate leads, arrange appointments, manage pipelines and help depot hit targets while enjoying a competitive salary, bonuses and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Confident communicator with customers on phone and in person.
• Able to build relationships and convert conversations into opportunities.
• Commercially minded with focus on driving sales and adding value.

Responsibilities

• Calling existing trade customers to build long term relationships and grow future business.
• Using customer data to spot inactivity and bring accounts back on track.
• Managing a targeted customer list and achieving daily call activity levels.
• Keeping up to date with customer projects to identify opportunities to add value and drive repeat business.
• Arranging surveys and appointments for our Kitchen Sales Designers.
• Promoting products, offers and events to keep customers engaged.
• Supporting administration, including invoicing and general depot tasks.
• Working closely with the wider team to help the depot hit its targets and deliver great service.
