Job summary

Howdens Joinery in Reigate is seeking a proactive Business Developer to grow our local depot’s trade customer base. You'll speak with customers on the phone and face to face, build lasting relationships, and identify opportunities to increase spend by understanding customer needs.

You'll generate leads, arrange surveys for Kitchen Sales Designers, and help convert conversations into sales while supporting depot targets and achieving strong results in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in telesales or account management is helpful.
• Confident communicator who can build rapport with customers on the phone and face to face.
• Commercially minded with a focus on driving sales and adding value.

Responsibilities

• Calling existing trade customers to build long term relationships and grow future business.
• Using customer data to spot inactivity and bring accounts back on track.
• Managing a targeted customer list and achieving daily call activity levels.
• Arranging surveys and appointments for Kitchen Sales Designers.
• Promoting products, offers and events to keep customers engaged.
• Supporting administration, including invoicing and general depot tasks.
• Working closely with the wider team to help the depot hit its targets and deliver great service.
