Job summary

Howdens Joinery is seeking a proactive Business Developer to grow our local depot’s trade customer base. You will engage customers face-to-face and on the phone, identifying opportunities to increase spend and deepen relationships with existing accounts.

You’ll generate leads, arrange appointments, and keep the sales pipeline moving while collaborating with Kitchen Sales Designers and Territory Sales Representatives to convert conversations into sales.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with customers on phone/face-to-face.
• Ability to build long-term relationships and convert conversations into opportunities.
• Commercially minded with focus on driving sales and adding value.
• Self-motivated, positive and proactive; organized and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Call existing trade customers to grow long-term relationships.
• Use data to spot inactivity and win back accounts.
• Manage targeted customer lists and meet daily call targets.
• Schedule surveys/appointments for Kitchen Sales Designers.
• Promote products and events to keep customers engaged.
• Support administration and depot tasks.
