Job summary

Howdens Joinery is seeking a Business Developer to grow our local depot. You will engage with trade customers face to face and by phone, build relationships and spot opportunities to increase spend by understanding customer projects and needs.

You’ll generate leads, arrange appointments with Kitchen Sales Designers and Territory Representatives, and push conversations into measurable sales outcomes. A strong team ethos and targets drive performance.

Qualifications

• Calling existing trade customers to build long term relationships and grow future business.
• Using customer data to spot inactivity and bring accounts back on track.
• Managing a targeted customer list and achieving daily call activity levels.

Responsibilities

• Calling existing trade customers to build long term relationships and grow future business.

• Keeping up to date with customer projects to identify opportunities to add value and drive repeat business.
• Arranging surveys and appointments for our Kitchen Sales Designers.
• Promoting products, offers and events to keep customers engaged.
• Supporting administration, including invoicing and general depot tasks.
• Working closely with the wider team to help the depot hit its targets and deliver great service.
